Dr. Yazdan Aryazand (or “Dr. Yaz,” as he’s known) obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in Iran prior to moving to the United States. Dr. Yaz completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Cornell University and during that time he published an article on infection rate of TPLO in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association (JAVMA). He completed a surgery internship at Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island in New York and at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center in Texas.
Subsequently, he completed his Small Animal Surgery residency at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. Dr. Yaz’s interest revolves around all aspects of Small Animal Surgery with a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and complex fracture repair. Dr. Yaz is passionate about mentoring veterinary students, interns, and other doctors and truly values the collaborative approach to medicine offered at CASE.
In his off time, Dr. Yaz can be found spending quality time with his wonderful wife (also a veterinarian) and son and two dogs, playing chess in professional tournaments, traveling the world,
